Overview
Trademark Assignment refers to the act of assigning the trademark to another party in accordance with legal procedures within the validity period of the registered trademark. The assignment of a registered trademark shall be subject to certain procedures in accordance with the law and must be approved by the Trademark Office before the transfer can take effect.
To assign a registered trademark, the trademark registrant shall transfer its registered trademark on the same kind of goods or services, or a similar trademark registered on similar goods together. The assignment of registered trademarks will be announced after approval. The assignee enjoys the exclusive right to use the trademark from the date of the announcement.
