Overview
The international registration of a Madrid Trademark is the registration of a trademark among the member states of the Madrid Union, in accordance with the provisions of the Madrid Agreement on the International Registration of Trademarks or the Protocol to the Madrid Agreement on the International Registration of Trademarks.
As of September 2018, the Madrid Union has 102 parties covering 118 countries. Major economies such as China, the United States, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Australia, and Switzerland, etc. are the members of the Madrid Union.
